Spaghetti Dinner Band Fundraiser

The West Oak Music Boosters are hosting their annual Spaghetti Dinner and Silent Auction on Saturday, January 28 from 3pm to 7:30pm at West Oak Middle School. The West Oak Bands and Choirs will perform throughout the evening, and guests may bid on dozens of Silent Auction items donated by local businesses and organizations. A partial listing of items can be found on the district website on the West Oak Band & Choir pages. Hotel stays, sports memorabilia, services, and gift certificates to a wide variety of restaurants are among the items available. Dinner will be served from 4pm through 6:30pm and the event is open to the public. Target RedCards

Do you have a Target RedCard? If so, please be sure you designate one of our schools with your card. That way when you spend money, the school makes money! A certain percentage of what you spend will be doanted to the school of your choice. Thanks for helping our schools!

Summer School

Summer School 2012 will be held June 11 - July 19, Monday through Thursday (No school July 4th), at West Oak Middle School for West Oak and Diamond Lake School students. Students will work on developing and maintaining academic and career readiness skills in the areas of reading, writing, computers, math, and Spanish. Further details about registration coming soon!

Superintendent Search

BWP is the firm the board has selected to conduct the search for the new superintendent. They have collected input from the administrators, teachers, and community members and are reviewing resumes. Click here to access BWP's website.

Volunteers needed at West Oak Middle School

West Oak Middle School is looking for volunteers to help out with lunch and recess. Please stop by the West Oak office for a volunteer form or call the school office at 847-566-9220 for more information. Your help is greatly appreciated!

Diamond Lake Educational Foundation

The Diamond Lake Education Foundation is officially operational. The organization has obtained 501(3)(c) status, making donations tax-deductible and allowing donors to take advantage of employer matching programs. Rachel's Challenge @ West Oak

Staff and students at West Oak remain committed to increasing acts of kindness and compassion in school, at home, and throughout the greater community. Rachel's Challenge committee members are meeting to discuss positive actions to promote the promise made by all staff and students in November.
