Click here for flyer: New SuperintendentAfter an exhaustive search and interviews with several well qualified candidates, the District 76 Diamond Lake School Board is pleased to announce the appointment of Dr. Joseph A. Petrella as our new superintendent beginning July 1, 2012, following the retirement of Dr. Roger Prosise. Dr. Petrella comes to us from the Gateway School District, a K-12 district in Monroeville, Pennsylvania, near Pittsburgh where he has served as an administrator since 2004. He was appointed superintendent there in 2010, after previously serving Gateway as assistant superintendent and acting superintendent. Summer SchoolSummer School 2012 will be held June 11 - July 19, Monday through Thursday (No school July 4th), 8:30 am - Noon at West Oak Middle School for grades 2 - 7, and 8:00 am - 11:30 am at Fairhaven for grades Pre-K - 1. Students will work on developing and maintaining academic and career readiness skills in the areas of reading, writing, computers, math, and Spanish. Contacts: Bus transportation will be provided. If you have a question regarding bus stops, please call First Student Transportation at 847-634-0868. Target RedCardsDo you have a Target RedCard? If so, please be sure you designate one of our schools with your card. That way when you spend money, the school makes money! The organization has obtained 501(3)(c) status, making donations tax-deductible and allowing donors to take advantage of employer matching programs.
